Simplified Integration Model

The relying party integrates with the TRIDENT Wallet Verification API (available soon), rather than directly with the underlying verifier.

The TRIDENT API acts as an integration layer between:

• the relying party application;
• the OpenID4VP verifier;
• the citizen’s TRIDENT Wallet; and
• the TRIDENT trust and governance services.

The relying party defines the information required for its service. TRIDENT then creates and manages the OpenID4VP presentation transaction, processes the Wallet response, performs the applicable verification controls, and returns a simplified result.

This approach reduces integration complexity and provides a common TRIDENT interface even when the underlying credential formats, verifier components, or validation rules evolve.
