Present and Verify a Wallet Credential

Allow users to present selected credential information online or in person, and verify its issuer, integrity, validity and status.

Government agencies and authorised organisations can integrate TRIDENT Wallet presentations into digital services and face-to-face interactions.

The user remains in control of the presentation and can review the information requested before approving or rejecting it. The relying party receives only the credential data or proof required for its approved purpose.

How it works

  1. The service or verifier requests specific credential information.
  2. The user reviews the request in the TRIDENT Wallet.
  3. The user approves or rejects the presentation.
  4. The Wallet presents the authorised information or proof.
  5. The verifier validates the credential and returns the result to the service.

Verification capabilities

Depending on the approved use case, verification may include:

  • trusted issuer validation;
  • credential integrity checks;
  • validity and expiration checks;
  • suspension or revocation status;
  • selective disclosure of attributes;
  • remote and proximity presentations;
  • audit evidence for the transaction.

The verifier can confirm that the credential is authentic and suitable for the transaction without requiring access to the citizen’s complete identity record.

Typical uses

  • Present proof of identity.
  • Confirm age without disclosing a full date of birth.
  • Present proof of address or residency.
  • Verify an official status or entitlement.
  • Support online customer onboarding.
  • Verify credentials during an in-person interaction.

Each relying party remains limited to the credential types, attributes and purposes approved for its service.
