Sign and Submit a Document

Enable users to review, approve and digitally sign documents through TRIDENT, with trusted timestamping where required.

Government agencies and authorised organisations can integrate TRIDENT remote signing into digital forms, applications, agreements and document workflows.

The user reviews the document, authenticates with the required assurance level and explicitly approves the signing operation. TRIDENT then creates the advanced digital signature through its trusted signing services.

How it works

  1. The connected service prepares the document to be signed.
  2. The user reviews the document and signing request.
  3. TRIDENT authenticates the user and requests explicit approval.
  4. The signature is created using the user’s Signing ID.
  5. A trusted timestamp may be added where required.
  6. The signed document and validation evidence are returned to the service.

The relying party manages the document workflow but does not directly access or manage the citizen’s private signing key.

Signing capabilities

Depending on the use case, the integration may support:

  • advanced digital signatures;
  • remote signing;
  • PDF and other approved document formats;
  • PIN, Mobile ID or OTP authorisation;
  • HSM-protected signing keys;
  • trusted timestamping;
  • certificate and signature validation;
  • auditable signing evidence.

TRIDENT signing services are designed to connect strong authentication, explicit user authorisation, protected cryptographic operations and validation controls.

Typical uses

  • Sign and submit a Government application.
  • Approve an official declaration.
  • Sign an agreement or consent form.
  • Complete a digital administrative procedure.
  • Sign documents generated by an agency system.
  • Add trusted time evidence to a signed document.

Each relying party remains responsible for the document content, business process and approved signing use case.
